Seedtrans is the seed fund management training programme, sponsored by the European Commission. Seed fund management training is a relatively new concept in a young industry. Hence, there is little experience on how such knowledge is best transmitted through training activities and there are no well-established training systems and training practices.

However, the nature of seed funds is that their number is relatively small and they are geographically spread. With that in mind the project aims at using an e-learning platform as the most viable method to deliver the knowledge to a dispersed number of users.

Target group
The project results are mainly directed to seed-fund managers and organizations aiming to become early stage financers. In addition to the already existing seed-fund management organizations, the target group includes a varied collection of final potential users amongst which we may count:

- Regional Development Agencies
- Industrial and SME associations
- Sectorial associations
- Innovation promotion intermediaries
- Universities
- Local and Regional Authorities
- Private companies

However, the reach of the project goes much further than the sector of potential seed fund mangers as described above. The project will also indirectly affect the sectors of:
- Innovative early stage enterprises.
- Venture Capital organisations.
- Business Angel organisations.
- Financial engineering institutions.
